- Can QACB help me to organize a convention?

- Must I pay for the services of the QACB?
No, all the QACB services are free.
- Does QACB compile statistics on the convention industry?
Yes, QACB compiles the statistics that are collected from our members annually. This allows us to paint a picture of the situation in the cities of our network. See section "News" for the most recent statistics.
If you are interested in the statistics of a particular region, you must send your request directly to the QACB member of that region.

The official tourist site of the Government of Quebec is packed with useful information under the tab of "Ministère du tourisme".
- Can I get a list of all the conventions that will take place in Quebec through the QACB?
The QACB does not compile that kind of list because it is not in its mission. Anyways, to compile such a list would be a phenomenal task because of the number of events held each year in Quebec. What more, most of the Internet sites of large convention centers of Quebec publish a calendar of activities to come. You will also find on the specialized journalistic agencies site www.evenementiel.qc.ca many lists of events.
- Is there any particular course of study that you need to get a job in the convention industry?
There are many ways of obtaining training in the convention industry; it can be either at college or university levels. Visit the site of the Quebec Tourism Human Resource Council (CQRHT) to see the task descriptions for jobs in our sector, which is often associated with the tourist sector. The section (Futurs travailleurs) of the site www.cqrht.qc.ca describes the different jobs, the required competences and the training needed.
- Can I do a training course at QACB?
QACB can not take on trainees. However, members of QACB could be interested in taking on a student for an advanced training course. People who are interested in those training courses can send their requests directly to the members of the QACB.
