The buildings of the exhibition center"ESPACE SHAWINIGAN" represent a unique heritage in North America? Originally, these buildings were an important smelter complex where was sunk, in 1901, the first ingot of aluminum domestically. As such, the complex has been designated "Place history of Canada" in 2001 and today gives no distinctiveness to the events that take place there.
