Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu Celebrates 120 Years of feasting at the Gala des Grands Chefs

From November 15 to 17, 2019, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu will be hosting the 19th edition of the Gala des Grands Chefs. This year, the stage is set for amazing celebrations to pay tribute to the hotel's 120th anniversary with 120 Years of Feasting as the central theme. All guest chefs have one thing in common: they all worked as Executive Chefs at the Manoir: Guy Tremblay (1984 and 1986), Marcel Bouchard (1986-1987), Heinrich Meesen (1993-1998), Jean-Michel Breton (2000-2012) and Patrick Turcot (2012-2017).

This epicurean weekend starts on Friday night, November 15th, with Le Grand Marché, a cocktail reception where local producers and our creative kitchen brigade unite to offer a unique culinary experience. On Saturday, workshops are offered for guests with an appetite for learning. Saturday evening begins with a cocktail reception followed by the gala dinner hosted by renowned sommelier Jessica Harnois and features an elaborate gourmet menu prepared by our Culinary Director Sylvain Cuerrier and the guest chefs.   This special weekend for food enthusiasts ends on Sunday with a sumptuous brunch. Throughout the weekend, guests can also enjoy many on-site facilities such as a complete multisports center with indoor and outdoor pools, hiking trails, Moment Spa and the Casino de Charlevoix

Le Manoir Richelieu's signature event will be partnering for the first time with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation with the special participation of singer Lulu Hughes. A portion of the profits will be donated to the Foundation with other opportunities for individual donations including a silent auction on Saturday evening. It is possible to reserve corporate tables with tax receipt sent upon request following the event. 

Culinary Director Sylvain Cuerrier is delighted by the diversity of producers in the Charlevoix region and is committed to promoting their finest products through various offers and events such as the Gala des Grands Chefs.
