Official opening of the Mont-Sainte-Anne Conference Center

Official opening of the Mont-Sainte-Anne Conference Center

October 14, 2019

Quebec City, October 11, 2019 – It was with a great deal of pride that the newly expanded and renovated Mont-Sainte-Anne Conference Center officially opened this morning. Gathered in the 7e Ciel room, several guests and media representatives were treated to the resort environment and breathtaking mountain view at the height of the fall splendour.

Investments of $5 M facilitated the renovation of the Conference Center to bring it up to current standards and increase its floor space to over 23,000 square feet. Including the meeting rooms in the Château, the project has enabled the facility to maintain its status as the biggest resort-based conference centre in Quebec. Château Mont-Sainte-Anne is already significantly benefitting from the major initiative.

"We are hosting an increasing number of major events – the recent Mountain Bike World Championships generated economic spinoffs of more than $12 M – and we are very proud to be able to offer facilities that satisfy the highest industry standards."
Sébastien Roy, General Manager, Château Mont-Sainte-Anne.

"Château Mont-Sainte-Anne is a magnificent venue for Côte-de-Beaupré. Surrounded by mountains and boasting a breathtaking view, the building is a major attraction for the region. The renovations carried out will help to satisfy demand and offer a more updated ambiance. The Québec government is proud to have invested more than $3 million via the Fonds Résolu and Investissement Québec"
Émilie Foster, MNA for Charlevoix-Côte-de-Beaupré.

Other investments of more than $20 M will be made in the coming months to complete the hotel complex development plan for the renovation of the common areas (entrance-façade, entrance lobby, reception hall), all the restaurant areas and the 103 guest rooms. The inclusion of a new aqua leisure centre and the renovation of the lower floors of the Conference Center will add a final touch to this major project, which will certainly help to consolidate the Mont-Sainte-Anne Conference Center and Château Mont Sainte-Anne as an industry leader in the Quebec resort business tourism industry.

About the Mont-Sainte-Anne Conference Center

An NPC, the Conference Center offer is completed with meeting spaces at the hotel representing floor space of 43,000 sq. ft. divided into 21 rooms. The investments at the Conference Center were funded by ville de Beaupré, the Côte de Beaupré Regional County Municipality, the IQ PADAT program, the Fonds Résolu, the Office du tourisme de Québec, the ministère du Tourisme and Château Mont Sainte-Anne.
