The Latest and Greatest for the Summer of 2019 in Quebec City

May 5, 2019

Québec City in the summertime has all the usual attractions: the historic architecture in Old Québec, the lively patios in the neighbourhoods, the street performers, the never-ending stream of events and festivals, and great venues to visit-not to mention the incredible forests, rivers, lakes, and other natural attractions nearby that are perfect for exploring, having fun, and getting away from it all.

Here are all the new and exciting things you'll want to include in your summer trip.

  • The History of Capital Punishment in Québec
The Hanging of William Pounden: Capital Punishment at the Québec City Public Prison [is a new immersive guided tour at the Morrin Centre. Take the opportunity to visit the charming Victorian library dating back to 1868.
  • GeoRally and Beer Tasting
On the Beer Trail, organized by Îlot des Palais, sends you on a hunt for the places where beer is made, sold, and enjoyed.
  • Quad Safari to Observe Black Bears
Learn the basics of quad driving and explore the magnificent natural environment of Station touristique Duchesnay on the way to a black bear–watching viewpoint.
  • High Tea at Château Frontenac
Enjoy afternoon tea served in beautiful teacups brought out just for the occasion at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.

Also, don't miss out :

Miró in Mallorca. A Free Spirit. At the Musée national des Beaux Arts de Québec
May 30 to September 8

Feast your eyes on nearly 200 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper by Catalan internationally-renowned artist Joan Miró, presented at MNBAQ in a North American exclusive.
